Ariana Bundy Interview on Persian Cuisine

Interview on Persian Cuisine

June 3, 2017 – “The essence of Persian cuisine is balance. Flavours, ingredients and spices are combined in ways that are unusual and yet somehow familiar, exotic yet very nurturing.” Extract from an interview with the Food Lovers website. Full interview and some recipes can be found here: https://www.foodlovers.in/people/the-intricacies-of-iranian-cuisine-category-image-related-page/

Happy Norouz!!

Mar 19, 2017 – Wishing you all a happy and healthy Persian New Year. Love and peace start at home and then spread through the world and in everything we do. In the picture: the most effortless Sabzeh I ever made (home sprouted lentils), my son Dara and his lovely friend all dressed up for a Norouz play and Sabzi Polo Mahi, the customary herbed rice (dill, parsley, garlic chives), smoked white fish with a squeeze of heavenly Narenj (Seville orange) or punchy Shirazi lime. Much love 🌸💕

Ariana’s Iran back on Fox Life !

Feb 18, 2017 – Fox Life India is once again screening Ariana’s Iran (Ariana’s Persian Kitchen). I’m getting a lot of great feedback from Indian viewers who are intrigued by the completely different types of spices used in Iranian cuisine. But there’s more in common between Persian and Indian cuisine than you might think. We both eat a lot of rice (and drink a lot of tea!) and many of our dishes and foods have very similar names, having originated in Iran such as Biryani, Nan/Noon (bread) and Pilau/Polo (rice). Fascinating!

New Year, New Projects….

Jan 1, 2017 – Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Saleh Noh Tabrik migam 🙂

Let there be more peace in this world for 2017, more wholesome organic sustainable yummy foods and even more good times with family and friends!

Excited to share my new project for 2017 with you, stay tuned!

Love, Ariana x

Gilan by the Caspian Sea is famous for its unique cuisine! It also has lots of different types of pickles and ‘chutneys’ called Torshis: aged garlic, green beans, walnuts, hafteh bijar (7 local herbs) etc plus different kinds of jams/preserves citron, orange blossom, black mulberry, orange peel, cornelian cherry (zoghalakhteh). Am I missing anything?? 🙂x
